Tennis courts to temporarily close for reconstruction
The three tennis courts at Phillips Park on Pine Island are scheduled for reconstruction and the courts will be closed from late August through September and possibly October, depending on weather conditions.
The lighted courts were most recently resurfaced in 2004; they were put in the park in 1976. The park, which is located at 5675 Sesame Drive in Bokeelia, also includes Pine Island Pool, two lighted baseball fields, a playground and a pavilion.
