Legion Post 136 elects officers for new year

The American Legion Post 136 of St. James City held its annual meeting Wednesday, May 15, and elected the following officers:

Commander – Frank Taugner

1st Vice – Ann Crawford

2nd Vice – Joe Rataj

3rd Vice – Mark Bethel

Finance officer – Jerry Congdon

Sregeant At Arms – Peter Trazzera

Executive Board – Joe Vallee

Executive Board – Mark Bethel

Executive Board – Bob Hoernel

Executive Board – Tom Ruscik

The following were appointed to their positions by the new commander:

Adjutant – Barry August

Service Officer – Dick Thomas

Judge Advocate – Tom Ruscik

At the same meeting, Steve Slachta, Southwest Area Commander, awarded August the “Billy Award” for going above and beyond the call of duty.

August dedicated the award to the Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion, Riders and Members of the Post for their very successful year.
