Pool Health and Safety Fair April 13
Mark your calendars on Saturday, April 13 for the 3rd annual Pine Island Pool Health and Safety Fair. This great event will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5675 Sesame Drive.
There is a great line up of venders to help you with some health and safety issues. Mobile Mammo will be here scheduling appointments when the bus is at Stonegate Bank. Pine Island Fire Dept. will be doing blood pressure checks, along with fire safety tips. The Red Cross and Beacon of Hope will be attending also. Kohl’s Safe Kids will be here with lots of water safety tips for your children.
The pool staff will be signing up children for summer swim lessons and Jr. Lifeguard Camp. Sign up begins April 2 online at www.leeparks.org. There is scholarship money available for any non swimmer. A “huge” push will be empathizing on water safety and drowning prevention.
With continued help from the great organizations on Pine Island, “Every Child A Swimmer.”
We are surrounded by water and children of all ages need to learn to swim. This is a free event for the day to everyone, just bring a smile. There will be music and free food served during the event.
