Matlacha Mariners’ Annual Mullet Toss Championship this weekend
The Matlacha Mariners will host its 22nd Annual Mullet Toss Championship from 10:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, at Matlacha Community Park, 4577 Pine Island Road, N.W., in Matlacha. Children’s competitions are from 10:30 a.m. until noon and the adult competition will be from 12:15-4:30 p.m. Smoked mullet, hamburgers, hot dogs, with beer, wine, soft drinks and water will be available. Onsite free parking and picnic tables. No pets, carry-in coolers, or outside beverages.
Preregistration begins at 10 a.m. It is $5 per toss for adults and $2 for children 15 and younger.
