Fees increasing Feb. 1 at Pine Island Pool
The Pine Island Pool would like everyone to know the pool fees will be increasing effective Feb. 1. Due to the downturn in the economy, property values have fallen for several years and taxes have been reduced. This past year, the budget marked the fifth consecutive year in which the county made cuts and held ad valorem property tax rates stable in response to the economic downturn.
The pool has not seen a fee increase in many years and these are minimal increases.
The increases includes: adult (under 55) per day $3; child (under 18) per day $2; one year family pass (two adults and dependent children under 18) $100; six month family pass $70; One year single pass $75; six months single $55; swim lessons (group session) $50; one-on-one swim lesson $20; pavilion rentals everyday $25.
Thank you so much for your understanding in the increased fees. As always, the Pine Island Pool will offer free or reduced fees (for non swimmers) in summer swim lessons. This is made possible from great organizations like Bobby Holloway Memorial Fund, Greater Pine Island Kiwanis Club and the Matlacha Mariners.
