Cat of the Week

The owner of this sweet boy passed away on Thanksgiving Day. That left Bugsy and his dog friend without a home. Someone was kind enough to take the dog in, unfortunately Bugsy wasn’t invited. So now he passes his time at Helping Paws waiting for the day his new owner comes to get him. He told me to tell you that he isn’t much trouble. Give him a soft bed and some wet food and he’s a happy camper! If you have some room in your heart and home for this special boy, please give us a call at 239-283-9100.
Cat of the Week

Do you recognize this handsome face? We are hoping he has an owner out there somewhere. This poor little guy wandered into Joel’s Plumbing 2 weeks ago, exhausted and hungry. We have patched him back up and are hoping to reunite him with his owner. If no one steps forward, he will be available for adoption. I think he’s afraid we are going to kick him out, because he is still eating and sleeping as though he may not get the chance again. Despite everything he’s been through, Choctow is a sweet, affectionate kitty. He is well behaved and very affectionate. Please call us at 239-283-9100 if you recognize him or are interested in giving this deserving boy a loving home.
Cat of the Week

Horton was found along with his look-alike brother Thornton, near the Moose Lodge on the Island. We are guessing they are about a year old and both are very sweet. We don’t know if they were abandoned or just relocated there and dumped. It has come to my attention that two people on the Island have been trapping people’s kitties and relocating them to the opposite side of the Island. You can imagine how horrible it is not to know what became of your pet, so I’m asking that if you find or lose a cat please contact me or Edith from “C.A.T.S.” (Caring About The Strays) at 239-464-3456. We are doing our best to reunite people with their pets. That said, if you know where Horton belongs or would like to adopt him, please call me at 239-283-9100. We will give the owners a week to come forward before we release them for adoption. Happy New Year everyone!
