2013 Art Expo call for artists
The Fifth Annual Art Expo is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 22 and Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at the St. James City Civic Association, 3300 Lemon Street (4th and Lemon) in Saint James City. Art Expo is exclusively for Greater Pine Island artists. Show categories are: ceramic, jewelry, sculpture, metal, wood, fiber, photography, drawing/prints, glass, painting and mixed mediums. SJCCA looks forward to hosting this annual event and encourages all Greater Pine island artists to participate and invite their friend, patrons and neighbors to visit the show.
Friday, Feb. 22 is show set up and an “Evening with the Artists” art preview for patrons and invited guests. Show opens to the public on Saturday from 9 a.m. 4 p.m. Artists who have previously participated in the show will receive an application by mail the first part of January. Jury (application) fee is $20 nonrefundable. A 15 percent commission on art sold during the show is due at show end. Deadline for mailed applications is Jan. 28 and deadline for hand delivered applications to SJCCA is 5 p.m., Jan. 31.
