SJCCA kicks off season 50 with turkey dinner

2 min read

Come as you are or as you once were Saturday Dec. 8 from 11:30-1 p.m. to the SJCCA annual Turkey and Trimmings Dinner, free to SJCCA members. This Jingle Bell Traditional Dinner honoring membership is now in its 50th season. We’re partying “Vintage” with Jackie “oh,” June Cleaver, friends of the Fonz, a Pucci model, Mustang Sally, Disco Belle, and Santa. Get autographs from the 2013 Calendar Gals in Vintage Attire. Play several free games of bingo for prizes following the meal! Enjoy 50/50’s, a Christmas money tree raffle, and the house Christmas bluegrass band! Purchase the 2013 SJCCA Vintage Calendar featuring SJCCA Gals in Costumes with Cars.

Santa Chefs KB and Stephen will feed us turkey, stuffing, cranberries, homemade mashed potatoes, desserts, coffee and teas as well as “chefs’ surprise”-not broccoli!

SJCCA is located at Fourth and Lemon Streets in the heart of St. James City. You can join at the door for $15. The 2013 membership entitles the owner to Fiftieth Season discounts on SJCCA Festivals and 25 weekly activities, including multiple card games, exercise classes, mah jongg, arts, crafts, hobby sessions, and shuffleboard. And the free turkey dinner.

For several hours on Saturday, kick-off Season 50 with friendships, display of fun attire from 1963 to today, and games. At SJCCA, we’re making the meal, but you’ll make it a party! Questions, call 283-7141.
