No one shows up to address outdoor
A community informational meeting held at the Ragged Ass Saloon last Tuesday afternoon did not attract any residents who wanted to comment on proposed outdoor seating at the business.
Phil Buchanan, who was conducting the meeting, and general manager Bob Cegann were the only two that showed up for the 3 p.m. meeting.
Buchanan said the meeting was held to give individuals an opportunity to come out and object to the planned outside seating.
“No one did,” he said, due to no one being in attendance.
The informational meeting was the first step for a special exception for consumption on premise outdoor seating. Once the correct paperwork is submitted, a meeting will be set with a Lee County hearing examiner.
Cegann said the seating, which will be transferred from the deck on Monroe Canal to the tiki area, will include 16 seats.
“It is more beneficial to us out there,” he said of the tiki area.
The deck area will become the new waiting area for the customers.
