Matlacha Hookers to meet at Bert’s Bar Sept. 10
The Matlacha Hookers general membership meeting will be on Monday, Sept.10, at Bert’s Bar in Matlacha beginning at 6:30 p.m. Bert’s full menu will be available for your enjoyment and we’ll be meeting in the Gator room. The Matlacha Hookers are a 501c women’s civic organization whose mission statement is to ‘Make a Positive Difference in our Community’ and is open to women over the age of 21.
For the month of September, members are reminded to bring two food items for the Food Panty; but if you feel comfortable adding a personal care item, they would appreciate the extra effort. This month they are in need of just about everything! They are really low on peanut butter, jelly, baked beans, soup, saltine crackers, and ramon noodles. Laundry detergent, dish soap and household items are always needed.
