First Baptist Church of Pine Island anticipating arrival of new pastor

First Baptist Church of Pine Island is looking forward to introduce their new pastor, Jim Olsen. FBCOPI has been without a pastor for nearly a year.

Pastor Olsen will be arriving on Pine Island the last week of July. His first opportunity to preach will be on Sunday, July 29, at the 10:45 a.m. service.

Olsen, his wife, Cristen; 8-year-old daughter, Emma; and 6-year-old son, Trentonn, are moving from New Albin, Iowa, where Olsen has been the senior pastor at the Christ Community Evangelical Free Church for 9 years.

Olsen thrives being involved in his town where in addition to shepherding his congregation, he has been a volunteer fireman.

The family is originally from the Chicago area where he graduated from Moody Bible Institute.
