Local boaters needed to help with water sampling
Two volunteers with boats are needed to help with a local volunteer water monitoring group once a month.
The water monitoring sites are in San Carlos Bay near the Sanibel Causeway and in Pine Island Sound near the Flamingo Bay.
Sampling is on the first Monday of each month. This is a great opportunity to be on the water one early morning a month to help with this long running group that tests the health of our local waters for humans, fish and invertebrates.
No experience or education is required – all training and equipment are provided. Once on site, the water sampling takes about 1/2 to 1 hour.
