Berardi announces House run at Patriots’ meeting

Chris Berardi, former Cape Coral City Councilman, spoke before the members of the Lee County Patriots on Nov. 18, announcing his candidacy for the District 74 Florida House of Representatives seat.
“I am fully committed to ensuring that the interests of Southwest Florida will be served and that our voices will be heard in Tallahassee,” Berardi pledged.
Creating jobs and providing quality education are among Berardi’s top priorities.
“We need leaders in Tallahassee that will put principle above politics and do what is right for the people, not the lobbyists. My top priority is to get Floridians back to work. Working with the private sector to create jobs is what we need to be focused on right now.”
Berardi believes education ties in with attracting businesses to Florida which will bring good jobs.
“We need to make quality education a major focus,” he said. “We should be encouraging students at the university level to earn degrees in science, technology, engineering and math. This will help our children find high paying jobs and it will also help to attract business to our state.”
