Low Key Tiki’s Redfish Tournament proceeds donated to From Our Hearts
The recent Redfish Tournament sponsored by the Low Key Tiki resulted in a donation of $2,340 to From Our Hearts, the Pine Island charity that focuses on breast cancer.
The first place team included Corry McQuire, Eric Post, and Darin Covert. Their winnings totaled $750. Doug Root, Guy Lee, Kyle Lee, and Dustin Root came in second to win $375. In third were Charles Epranian, Eric Targmen, and Phil Hollenzer for a prize of $275.
In all, 43 anglers and 15 boats participated.
“Not bad for the first time,’ said Scott Adams, owner of Low Key.
Adams said there were far too many in the community to thank individually for the support the tournament received and for the donations given for prizes. He is particularly grateful to Captain Jesse Romero who, according to Scott, did all of the organizing.
Adams is already planning to hold the event again next year although no date has been set so far.
