The Annual Labor Day Golf Scramble organized by Jan Green and Butch Waring was a rousing success, earning $1,000 for Pine Island F.I.S.H. from the winning team of Noel Andress, Fred Parkham, Ted Myers, and Anthony Myers.

The second place finishers were Larry Ferry, Tom Havener, Ron Savine, and Rick Wadsman.

Special event winners were Anthony Myers for Men’s Longest Drive, Dee Rader for Women’s Longest Drive and Women’s Closest to Pin No. 17, Teresa Shattuck for women’s Closest to Pin No. 3, Rocky Lane for Men’s Closest to Pin No. 7, Larry Ferry for Men’s Closest to Pin No. 15, Bob Miller for Men’s Closest to the Line, and Loretta Raines for Women’s Closest to the Line. The 50/50 was won by Doug Lindstrom.

The team that finishes in last place always receives a dozen golf balls donated by Rich Crotty. That prize went to Bud, Dawn, Steve and Jen Welch.

The organizers want to thank Dave Tuckwiller, John Ristow (Paradise Vending), VFW Men’s Auxiliary, VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Pine Island Moose Lodge, Women of the Moose, American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, Sons of the American Legion, Bill Kuhn (Moose Legion 58), Justin Drake (Suncoast Beverage), Greg Goike, Chris Sevier, Tom Ruscik, Tom Davis, Creative Ends Hair Salon, Linda Mitchell, Paul Alexander, Ed and Dotty Bolha, Bob and Carol Wilson, Cindy Wilcox, Jim Lyle, Dick Gentry, Rick Halcomb, Rich Crotty, Regina Krivacs, Stew Bennett (Alden Pines), Deborah Lytle (Raymary Grill), Tom Aiken (EconoFry), Karen Mellor, Don Shattuck (Island Gas), Kyle (Winn-Dixie), Robin Kimps and Ralph Peterson.
