CERT has begun fall training sessions

The Pine Island Community Emergency Response Team has begun its fall training sessions in First Aid beginning with Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation, CPR, and use of the Automated External Defibrillator, AED.

Team members are being trained in small groups by certified trainer Debora Metz-Ianucci and classes are now open to the general public.

Those wishing to participate and receive Certification can contact Deborah at 283-7890 and be assigned a schedule. The fee for the class is $25.

This is an excellent training opportunity and could be a real life-saver for someone who is trained and in the right place at the right time. Deborah is a CERT volunteer and receives no pay for her services. All monies collected for the classes will go into the CERT budget to be used for equipment and supply’s in case of an emergency.
