Greater Pine Island chamber breakfast offers free information for computer users
The monthly Business Breakfast sponsored by the Greater Pine Island Chamber of Commerce will take place on Tuesday, August 23, at Little Lily’s Island Deli in the Island Exchange Building on Stringfellow Road, one block north of the 4-way intersection. Breakfast will begin at 7:30, and the cost per person is $7. Following breakfast, the program will be presented by Chamber member, Adam Chido with Tarpon Technology Solutions. Adam’s topic will be “Four Free Things Every Computer User Should Have.”
Adam Chido has been professionally involved in the Information Technology industry for 16 years. He’s been called a technician, administrator, engineer, developer, and consultant, but most folks just call him the computer guy. Adam hails from the Washington, DC metropolitan area, having relocated to Pine Island in 2009 to be with family and better fishing. When his nose isn’t glued to a computer screen, he can usually be found in his little green kayak out in Matlacha Pass, waiting for the next big catch to hopefully tow him back to dry land.
He spent close to 10 years working in the technology department for a nationwide subsidiary of The Home Depot, later moving on to work as a consultant for small businesses and local governments in the DC area. Adam started Tarpon Technology Solutions on Pine Island in late 2009 as a side project, with the goal of providing timely, affordable technology help to his friends and neighbors. The business grew faster than anticipated, and is now his full-time endeavor. He prides himself on not only being able to solve technology issues quickly and accurately, but in being able to do it in a fun, friendly environment.
Whether you consider yourself “computer savvy” or not, it will definitely be worth your time to come to this presentation we are all always looking for something FREE to assist us in this ever-changing world of computer technology.
