Boat motors stolen in St. James City
An investigation is under way to determine who owns several boats that had the motors stolen from them in St. James City.
According to Lee County Sheriff’s Office reports:
Between July 4 and 22, someone cut the fence to an adjoining business and took several boat motors from his property, located at 10131 Mallory Parkway. Murray Shatt told deputies he rents the property and has nothing to do with the boats. He contacted the owner of the property, John McChan, who said he didn’t know who owned the boats.
Deputies tried to locate the victims, but was unsuccessful. McChan said his wife might have the information. Two motors were stolen.
Then between July 21 and 22, two additional motors were stolen from 10120 Betsy Parkway, according to a police report.
