Beginning at 9 a.m., on Monday, June 13, through 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17, Penzance Boulevard will close to through traffic on the west side of the intersection with Six Mile Cypress Parkway while crews install underground utilities as part of Lee County’s Six Mile Cypress Parkway Widening Project. (See attached flyer containing map of closure.) This work requires a FULL CLOSURE of Penzance Boulevard at Six Mile Cypress Parkway for approximately one week. Motorists should use alternate routes during this work. This schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather.

Lee County is widening the two-lane section of Six Mile Cypress Parkway to a four-lane divided highway. This work includes the installation of a signalized intersection at Penzance Boulevard and the addition of a paved path along the west side of the roadway from Heritage Palms to Daniels Parkway. Southbound Six Mile Cypress Parkway traffic is currently shifted to the east just south of Heritage Palms Boulevard. Please drive with care and be aware of heavy equipment entering/exiting the roadway.
