Pine Island food distribution July 29
The Beacon of HOPE United Way House, Pine Island United Methodist Church, Harry Chapin Food bank, Salvation Army, United Way, United Way 211 and other human service agencies will hold the third of 15 summer food distributions on Wednesday, July 29, at the Pine Island United Methodist Church, 5701 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia from 1 to 3 p.m. The first two distributions have served over nearly 500 families.
Harry Chapin Food Bank will provide food t those in need and hot meals will be provided for the day. Catholic Charities and Harry Chapin Food Bank will assist those eligible for the Food Stamp Program through ACCESS. United Way 211 will provide information and referral to human resources available in the area.
