Island Avenue neighborhood waterline replacement

1 min read

The Greater Pine Island Water Association is pleased to announce the replacement and upgrade of the waterlines that serve areas east of Island Avenue that have become problematic due to continuing above average problems with leakage and line breaks. The specific streets to be upgraded will be announced in the future after final surveys and engineering are completed.

Beginning in the next few weeks, residents will begin to see survey crews from Cooner and Associates and Engineers from Weston/Sampson Engineering walking through neighborhood streets collecting data that will then become construction specifications. Continuing information about the progress of this project will be available on our website; pineislandwater.com and through local news public service announcements when appropriate. The construction timetable is yet to be set, however late summer 2011 and into the fall is the goal.

Questions concerning this project may be directed to the Association’s main office at (239) 283-1071.
