Second annual Car, Truck and Bike show a big success
Organizers of this year’s VFW Car, Truck and Bike show were overwhelmed with the response of last Saturday’s event.
Hundreds of people stopped in at the Pine Island post to view vintage automobiles, enjoy live music and munch on hotdogs and hamburgers. Many of the visitors also purchased raffle tickets on the chance to win a boat, motor and trailer. At approximately 3 p.m. a ticket was drawn and it was announced that Bob Travex from the Pine Island KOA was the winner. All proceeds from this event will benefit veterans living on Pine Island. With the tremendous response, organizers plan to bring the Car, Truck and Bike show back again next year.
