Southwest Florida International Airport reports January traffic
During January, 726,322 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida International Airport, a decrease of 0.7 percent compared to January 2010.
The traffic leader in January was Delta with 157,445 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were AirTran (120,618), JetBlue (86,840), Southwest (79,480) and US Airways (66,887).
Southwest Florida International Airport had 8,461 aircraft movements (takeoffs and landings), an increase of 0.8 percent compared to January 2010. Page Field General Aviation Airport saw 7,392 movements, a 1.5 percent decrease from January 2010. In addition, more than 2.6 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in January 2011.
