Motorcyclist dies in Pine Island crash
Shortly after 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 9, 2011, Lee County deputies responded to a motorcycle accident on Stringfellow Road near the intersection of Sailfish Road. Due to the severity of the accident, detectives with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.
At this time, investigators are trying to determine the cause of the crash. The driver of the motorcycle, a male, was killed in the crash. The female passenger suffered minor injuries.
