It would seem the cold weather up north have even driven snowmen south with winter. Before leaving for Cherry Estates on Pine Island for Christmas vacation, Joel Ahearne Jr., Brooklyn Ahearne and Brett Middleton filled their truck bed full of snow in hopes that they would have some snow left to make a snowman at the home of Joel’s parents in St. James City. The Cherry Estates couple had not seen snow in many years. Luckily, the temperatures throughout the trip remained below freezing.

“When we pulled into my parents driveway and they walked out to the truck, they were amazed at what we had brought them,” Ahearne said. “More than half of the truck full of snow made it from Waterford, Michigan to Cherry Estates and the snowman was built. Frosty got his first suntan.”
