Kiwanis seeks contributions for annual Fall Festival

With the help of island businesses and residents, the Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island has successfully hosted a special annual event for the children of the island. Once again, members of the Kiwanis are asking for donations to make the Fall Festival/Halloween Party a possibility.
“We invite all Pine Island businesses and residents to become a co-sponsor of this free community service event,” said Kiwanian Pat Burman. “Anyone can help by donating a little money, some candy or their time. It all has value and will help in the planning of this event for the island children and their families.”
This year’s Fall Festival will again be held at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church in Bokeelia. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free to all island children and their families.
Several locations throughout the island are now serving as donation drop off sites and include; TIB Bank, Century 21 Real Estate, Edward Jones Matlacha office, the Greater Pine Island Chamber or Commerce Welcome Center and Ad&Print Craft in Bokeelia. Checks also can be mailed to Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island, P.O. box 111, St. James City, Fla 33956.
