From Our Hearts and Miceli’s Restaurant join to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month
Most people associate the month of October with German beer and accordion music as area establishments celebrate Oktoberfest, however, From Our Hearts will be putting an new spin on things as it celebrates OktoberBreast in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Teaming up with From Our Hearts to bring this event to area residents will be Miceli’s restaurant.
The Matlacha restaurant will host OktoberBreast 2010 between 1 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3.
During this event, Miceli’s will offer numerous food and drink specials with a portion of the proceeds to benefit From Our Hearts. After enjoying a great meal at Miceli’s, guests can join the fun under the Tiki Hut which will include music provided by Brad Rodgers, Bombaleros, and Soapbox.
Take the opportunity to contribute to local breast cancer charities by buying tickets to the ongoing 50/50 raffles, take a chance on the gift baskets, or purchase some breast cancer theme gifts. You can also learn more about breast cancer awareness and hear testimonies from people currently fighting the battle against the disease.
