Youth Group at FBCSJC
The First Baptist Church of St. James City has a new and growing Youth Group. Currently we have 14 children attending. Denise and Joe Romeo are the leaders and David Moyer is actively involved. During the Sunday evening service, the children participate in the first part of the church service and then go to their own service in the Fellowship Hall followed by refreshments.
On Saturday, June 19, the group had a car wash event. It was hosted and all services were provided by St. James Automotive at 2867 Oleander in St. James City. Many thanks to Scott Martin for providing everything to make this a success. Eight of the youth, plus adults, participated. A great day was had by all. This fall, when the snowbirds start returning, another car wash is planned.
The children voted on activities. Earlier in June, 18 children plus adults enjoyed a wonderful day at Sun Splash in Cape Coral. On July 10, will be a Pizza/Roller Skating party in Fort Myers. A trip to Cayo Costa park also is in the works. All children on Pine Island are invited to come.
