What’s for lunch?
The School District of Lee County, with the aid of Pine Island Community Church, will offer free lunches for school-aged children at Pine Island Elementary School. Meals will be served weekdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. during summer break. Lunches are free and must be consumed on premises. A second location to feed children has now opened at the Church of God of Prophecy, located at 15146 Stringfellow Road in Bokeelia, across the street from Pink Citrus Trailer Park. This location will serve free lunches to school age children from 12 to 1 p.m. All children are encouraged to come and join their friends for lunch.
