School and community work together to help others
Chrissy Frahm would like to thank the students, staff and families of Pine Island Elementary for their contribution to the Ronald McDonald House Charity “Tab” drive. The students at Pine Island Elementary collected beverage tabs all year. Chrissy brought them down to the Ronald McDonald House, next to Health Park. The Ronald McDonald House helps provide a place for seriously ill children and their families to stay during treatment.
A special thank you goes to Madison, her family and the Southwest Blues Festival for donating over 50 pounds of tabs. Chrissy would also like to thank Justice, Blaise and Tanner and the Waterfront Restaurant for donating five gallon buckets for the tabs. Finally, Chrissy would like to thank the other numerous people who have donated to the “tab” drive. As you enjoy your summer and pop open a beverage, remember to save the tab for Chrissy.
Pine Island Elementary will continue to collect tabs for the up coming 2010-11 school year. Tabs also can be dropped off at the Pine Island Community Church office, located at the Century 21 building.
