St. James resident joins island Edward Jones team
Serving as the branch office administrator for the St. James City office of Edward Jones is island resident Patricia Hutchinson. Recently joining the team, Hutchinson brings years of island experience with her. A Florida native, she relocated to Pine Island 15 years ago from Miami.
“I have always worked off of the island and envied my husband because it seemed as though every where we went on the island someone would know him because he runs his business out here,” Hutchinson said. “I have always wanted a job on the island so I could get to be a part of my community and I am very happy to be here, working for Edward Jones. I am really enjoying meeting the clients. So many of them are my neighbors and friends and I truly look forward to coming to work every day. I love connecting with people and this is a very pleasant environment to work in. Garth is easy to work with and we have a lot of fun together. We complement each other.”
Hutchinson and her husband Ried own Reid Hutchinson Construction based on Pine Island.
Financial advisor Garth Moreau was impressed with Hutchinson’s job performance.

When not working, Hutchinson and her husband enjoy fishing and boating.
“We are very fortunate that we live on the water and are just minutes away from Pine Island Sound,” Hutchinson said. “We both have always been avid sailors and when we moved to the island, we discovered the excitement of fishing and now we go out every chance we get. My favorite fish to catch is snook, but since the season is closed we have been concentrating our efforts on catching redfish and I also like trout as well.”
Prior to working for Edward Jones, Hutchinson’s career involved technology in the building industry and she also spent several months volunteering as an ambassador at the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center.
“Answering questions and helping people is what makes me happy so I knew that I would be happy here at Edward Jones,” Hutchinson said. “The other up side of working here is the opportunity to learn more about investing and about the market. It is something that has always fascinated me.”
