Homicide suspect in custody
David T. Chavez (DOB 6/17/79) has turned himself into authorities in Auburn, California on an active warrant for 2nd Degree Murder. Chavez has been identified as the suspect in the stabbing death of Adam D. McClenithan that occurred on April 29, in Bokeelia.
Once Chavez is processed in California, he is expected to be extradited to Lee County.
The agency he turned himself into is unknown at this time.
