Colonial Boulevard nightime road closures beginning May 10
As part of the on-going Colonial Boulevard six-laning project from Six Mile Cypress Parkway to SR 82 (Immokalee Road), it will be necessary beginning Monday, May 10, and for the next few weeks to close lanes and transition traffic at night. The closures will be between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. and will involve narrowing from two lanes to one and switching sides of the road, both in the eastbound and westbound directions. There will be variable message boards, arrow boards, lane shift warning signs and barricades to assist drivers traveling through the area, but drivers are urged to use extreme caution and use alternate routes if possible.
