Lee County deputies are seeking the driver of a vehicle involved in a hit and run injury in Lehigh Acres. The hit and run occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. on March 24, 2010 at the corner of Alvin Avenue and Banning Street in Lehigh Acres.

Deputies say a woman, approximately eighty-five (85) years old, was waiting at a bus stop with her granddaughter when a vehicle, possibly a pickup truck, struck her and continued on. The victim did not get a good look at the vehicle, but tells deputies it was last seen heading southbound on Alvin Avenue.

Preliminary indications are that the victim was possibly struck by the vehicle’s side view mirror. The victim was transported to the hospital, with what appear to be non life threatening injuries.
