Pine Islander competes in her first barrel race

Kayla Baker and her 4-year old Palomino mare, Corona, competed in their first Barrel Racing events at the horse show in Blairsville, GA on June 20. Kayla placed seventh in the 13-18 year old division with a time of 11.713 and ninth in the Open division with a time of 10.871 for the arena races.
In the Cloverleaf race she ran a time of 22.478 in the 13-18 year old division. There are three more shows this summer they will compete in to finish up the season.
