Paton and Shearin exchange vows

Special to the Eagle Sharing a time of joy are children of the bride F. Patrick Paton and Marianne Paton, the newlyweds, Joan and Bob Shearin and best man, Robert Bogaz.

Bokeelia resident, Joan Paton, was married to Bob Shearin of Bonita Springs, on Saturday, June 13 during a small ceremony held in Bonita Springs at St. Leo’s Catholic Church. The ceremony was performed by Father Henry. Giving away the bride was Joan’s eldest son, F. Patrick Paton of North Fort Myers and standing up as matron of honor was Joan’s eldest daughter, Marianne Paton of St. James City. Serving as Bob’s best man was Robert Bogaz of Bonita Springs. Also present for the nuptials were Bob’s daughter and son-in-law Mary Ann and Tracy Knepper and their sons Tyler and Connor of Port Orange, Fla., as well as Bob’s son Michael Shearin of Naples. A celebratory dinner was held at the Brothers Restaurant in Naples later that day.

The couple will live between Bob’s home in Bonita and Joan’s home in Bokeelia. Cards and well wishes may be mailed to Joan’s home on Pine Island at 5690 Rainbow Drive, Bokeelia, Fl 33922.
