Need a ride to church?
There’s a new van sitting out front at the First Baptist Church of Pine Island. “The van is ready to offer free rides to church for Sunday and Wednesday services,” announced Clint Miller, pastor of the church.
“We have been praying for this van ministry for some time now. We know many people would like to come to church but just can’t get here. Now we have this new van, so there is a way to come to God’s house,” said Pastor Miller.
Anyone wishing to catch a ride to church should contact the church office via email at fbcopi@gmail.com or by calling 283-1737 during office hours. The church office is open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. till 2 p.m.
There is a short form to complete in order to reserve your space on the van. The church name and phone number is displayed on each side and rear of the white 15-passenger van, so it will be easy to spot when it arrives at your home.
The First Baptist Church of Pine Island is located near island center at 5363 Ave D, across the street from the Pine Island Elementary School. Services on Sunday begin at 9:30 a.m. and on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
