Several Pine Islanders now ready to respond in emergency
Over 140 Southwest Floridians, including over 20 from the Pine Island area, have received a free Red Cross CPR/AED Class and Certification, funded by The Urgent Care Center of SWFL. During National CPR/AED Awareness Week (June 1-7), The Urgent Care Center of SWFL, will host the Red Cross on Saturday, June 6 for their free CPR/AED Training Day at the Estero Medical Center location.
Initially, the Urgent Care Center of SWFL offered to provide 100 free certifications. However, the response was overwhelming. “When The Urgent Care Center of SWFL decided to sponsor 100 people for free Red Cross CPR /AED certification, we had no idea of the overwhelming response we would receive,” says Managing Partner, Dr. Larry Hobbs, “We are thrilled to report that we had to expand our offer, so that over 140 people were able to go through the training, either in our Cay West Pavilion facility in Cape Coral or Estero Medical Center facility, and are now ready to respond to emergency situations in their Southwest Florida communities.”
The Urgent Care Center of SWFL has locations in two Lee County medical settings- in the Estero Medical Center, Estero and at Cay West Pavilion in Cape Coral.
