Five generations of Dreikorns and one happy graduate

On May 17, 2009, five generations of the Dreikorn family came together at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., to celebrate the hooding of Michael Dreikorn when he received his Ed.D. in Human Resource and Organizational Development. Present for the occasion were his grandmother, Leni Loossner (90); father, Hans Dreikorn (70); son, Shawn Dreikorn (27); granddaughter, Pailin Dreikorn (5 months); other family members; and long-time girlfriend Darlene Soler.

In 1988, Michael Dreikorn received his BS in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach), and his MS in Management from Friends University (Wichita) in 1994. He also received a post-graduate certificate from the UTC Executive Program at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia in 2002.

Michael has rich experience in the aerospace and defense industry, serving in diverse positions with Northrop Electronics (CA), McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (CA and Europe), and the Federal Aviation Administration (DC). Prior to his present endeavors, he was Vice President of Regulatory Compliance at Pratt & Whitney (E. Hartford, CT.); Aircraft Engines and Space Propulsion. Since 2002, he has been President of The IPL Group, LLC; an aerospace and defense consulting, auditing, training, and engineering firm here on Pine Island, in Bokeelia.

Dr. Dreikorn has been president of the Bokeelia Civic Association since 2006 and everyone wishes him success in his future endeavors.
