MARIANNE PATON Among those who have won multiple times in their categories are Dr. Darrell Rich for Best Chiropractor at Pine Island Chiropractic, Robin Lilly and Chris Capone for Best Lunch and Deli at Little Lilly’s Island Deli and Tonya Elder for Best Nail Salon at Center of Attention Day Spa.

Readers of the Pine Island Eagle recently cast their votes for island businesses and organizations rating them the best of the best.

Winning its category for the fourth consecutive year is Tropical Kitchens for Best Cabinets. Co-owner Doreen Schooley attributes the wins to good customer service.

“A job isn’t complete until the customer is happy and we make sure of that,” said Schooley. “We appreciate the support of our customers and the readers of the Pine Island Eagle.”

Winning in two categories this year was Little Lilly’s Island Deli, taking the honors for Best Deli and Best Lunch.

“It was kind of a goal to win in the Best Lunch category and we are very thankful to our customers for voting for us in two categories this year,” said Robin Lilly. “Our customers make it fun and we hope it is as enjoyable for them as it is for us.”

Also thanking patrons of Lilly’s was co-owner Chris Capone.

“We are very thankful to our customers who continue to support us even during these difficult economic times,” Capone said.

Among the first-time winners in the competition was Moretti’s Seafood in Matlacha for Best Waterfront Dining.

“We work hard at what we do so that our customers have the best possible experience. Being voted best is an indication we have succeeded,” said co-owner Chris Jackson.

A new category was added to the list this year and claiming the award for Best Feed and Pet Supplies is Pine Island Feed and Garden Center.

“We were very excited to hear that we were voted the best. We love what we are doing and the thanks go to the people of Pine Island who obviously support us,” said owner Mike Gerner. “We have met a lot of great people since we opened the business and they tell us that our place has the atmosphere of an old-time feed store. Our goal is to do everything we can to make people happy and it seems to be working.”
