Learn to cook like a professional for a good cause
For those who have always wanted to know what it takes to cook like a professional gourmet chef, the opportunity awaits.
On Friday, Feb. 23, join chef Jethro Joseph, the noted chef from the Tarpon Lodge in Pineland, as he cooks a full-course meal in front of those attending this special event. The meal will take diners from appetizers to desert while Joseph divulges the tricks to his trade.
The event will take place beginning at 6 p.m. at the Fishers of Men Lutheran Church on Stringfellow Road in St. James City just south of the center.
The cost of a ticket will be $75 per person and includes wine with dinner and champaign with desert. All proceeds from this event will benefit the Lee County Ronald McDonald House.
Tickets are available at Southwest Capital Bank located at the island center and must be purchased no later than Feb. 20 to ensure a reservation for the gourmet dinner and demonstration.
Seating is limited to 100 so ticket purchases should be made as soon as possible.
