Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church held its 14th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on March 29 at The Club at Gateway raising $37,000 to support the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Center. Since the inaugural event in 2011, the golf tournament has raised a cumulative $361,900 for Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Gateway Trinity Lutheran Church‘s unwavering support over the past 14 years is a powerful example of what long-term community commitment can accomplish,” said Katy Martinez, senior director of development for Lee Health Foundation. “Their dedication has helped advance children’s healthcare in Southwest Florida, ensuring that more families have access to the specialized care their children need closer to home. We’re incredibly grateful for their partnership and the impact they continue to make.”

The Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Center is being developed to support the expanded population and surgical needs of children in Southwest Florida. Once completed, the center will relocate 80% of outpatient pediatric procedures currently performed at HealthPark Medical Center, freeing up critical space for urgent and complex cases such as pediatric neurosurgery and trauma care. Designed as a dedicated hub for specialized pediatric surgical care, the center will provide a calm, secure environment where children and their families feel welcome and supported.

“Supporting the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pediatric Surgery Center is a mission we deeply believe in,” said Russ Reynolds, the church’s tournament director. “We’re honored to play a part in helping local families receive the care they need.”
