Riverdale Dental welcomes Mitchell Shoemaker DDS
Mitchell Shoemaker DDS is not only new to Riverdale Dental, but to his profession altogether.
Having graduated in May of this year from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, Shoemaker said goodbye to Indianapolis just two days after graduation and set his sights on Pine Island. Born and raised in Brownstown Indiana, where the population is less than 4,000, Shoemaker said he’s very attuned to the dynamic of a small town.
“I loved the idea of working on an island, it was very intriguing,” said Shoemaker. “It’s a unique population to serve. If you don’t leave the island you might not necessarily be able to get the dental care you need. You don’t see places like this very frequently … it has a wonderful feel.”
