Christine Karow Hair Designs opens
Christine Karow Hair Designs officially opened for business Sept. 23 in its new location at 5261 Pine Island Road.
The owner, Christine Karow, has been a hair dresser for more than 25 years. Starting her career in Twin Lakes, Wis., Karow worked as a subcontractor before opening her own shop.
“I always wanted to be a hair dresser, but I went in a different direction for about 10 years. When I got married, my husband encouraged me to go to school and open my own shop. I owned my own business in Wisconsin for 7 years before coming to Florida.”
Karow’s husband’s job brought them to Florida and they settled in Cape Coral in 2012.
“I do miss the changing of the seasons but we do things like the live nativity at CW Fudge to make it feel more like Christmas,” Karow said.
“Pam Whitney works here also and has been in the business for over 20 years,” Karow continued. “Pam works here five days a week. I work Tuesday through Saturday and Pam, Monday through Friday.
“We worked really hard to get the business open and actually opened before our scheduled opening day,” Karow said. “We are a full-service hair salon for men and women and I’m a huge Paul Mitchell fan so we carry Paul Mitchell products. If anyone has any questions I can be reached at 239-283-4222.”
Salon hours are Monday Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
