About 150 children and parents arrived at Lovegrove Gallery on Matlacha Saturday morning for the 3rd annual Easter Egg Hunt.

“This is our 3rd annual Bunny Hop Easter Egg hunt on Matlacha Island,” Leoma Lovegrove said. “We had something like 1,500 Easter eggs found by the kids along with 20 ‘Golden Eggs’. This has been sponsored by Hot Flashz.”

Hot Flashz are Lee County’s original, premier, non-profit entertainment troupe of women all over the age of 45. The funds raised at this event benefit Camp Boggy Creek and Special Operations Warrior Foundation.

“This is all about the kids,” Lovegrove said. “This Easter Egg hunt is just the most fun event we do all year and the children have a great time. It’s also the third year Hot Flashz is here. Just so everyone knows Hot Flashz pays for their own costumes so every dollar raised go to charity.”
