Residents open Captain Nebula’s Ice Cream Truck
Two island residents, Jennifer and Brian Sussman, have started a new business – Captain Nebula’s Ice Cream Truck. A portion of every sale goes to “From Our Hearts,” which raises funds to provide breast cancer screening & treatment for eligible people in the Greater Pine Island area.
“I lost my mother, aunt and uncle to cancer and I wanted to give something back to the community,” Brian Sussman said. “So Easter Sunday 2013 we started the business. A portion of every sale goes to From Our Hearts and all tips goes to the American Cancer Society. So far the support has been great and we’ve donated over $500 to those two organizations.”
Captain Nebula’s Ice Cream truck is currently serving seven routes: four in Cape Coral, two in Matlacha and one in Fort Myers.
