Catlin assumes duties as manager of Wells Fargo Bank
Wells Fargo recently hired a new bank manager who is looking forward to helping the businesses and residents of the island.
Wells Fargo Bank Manager JoAnn Catlin, who formerly worked with Bank of American on Pine Island for six years, started with Wells Fargo March 15.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with all of my clients and making new partnerships out here with our community and small businesses,” she said.
Catlin moved to South Florida in 2007 from New Jersey where she was born and raised. Although she does not live on the island, she said she lives very close to Matlacha.
“When we moved here, I got placed on the island with Bank of America,” she said. After leaving Bank of America, she said there was an offer at Wells Fargo that she could not resist.
“I decided to jump on it because I love the island,” Catlin said of the job opportunity.
Since becoming the manager, she said the bank has become members of the Greater Pine Island Chamber of Commerce.
Catlin said as the new manager she hopes to develop small business clients and help them save time and money through new technology. In addition, she said Wells Fargo is also going to be a good community volunteer partner.
In June, Catlin is volunteering her time as a make-up artist during the Wounded Warrior Anglers Warrior and Caregivers retreat June 22 at Spa 33. During July she said the bank will participate in the Fourth of July parade, as well as volunteer during Mango Mania.
