Over 100 participate in Kickin’ It 4 Kim! Poker Run

The Kickin’ It 4 Kim! Poker Run, which was held Jan. 27, attracted more than 100 participants.

Olde Fish House Music and Events Coordinator Mark Benton said they had 112 participants between the north route and the pirate route for poker hands. He said there were approximately 56 motorcycles, as well as some cars that participated in the Kickin’ It 4 Kim! Poker Run.

Barton said many other individuals dropped by the Olde Fish House to participate in the two 50/50 drawings, raffles, as well as purchase T-shirts and listen to Ellie Lee & Blues Fury entertain during the event.

The winner of the north route poker run went to John Armstrong, who won $100, plus a $50 bonus for having the most participants in the run.

“John donated $50 back to Kim,” Barton said.

Jerry McLaughlin won the pirate route poker run with four jacks claiming $100.

The worst hand went to Paul Sportelli who won a $25 gift certificate to the Olde Fish House Marina.

The benefit was held for Kim O’Rourke who was diagnosed Oct. 1 with stage four-breast cancer.
