Special thanks to one of our residents and the Matlacha Pine Island Fire Auxiliary
To the Editor:
The Matlacha-Pine Island Fire Auxiliary is an outstanding group which continues to support our firefighters throughout the year. They support the firefighters by having fund-raisers to supply bottled water and Gatorade on an ongoing basis. In July when then they went to Winn-Dixie to purchase the supplies, an employee and resident of Pine Island, Al Donah, stepped in and paid for the order out of his own pocket. It is this unseen support by one of our own residents and the auxiliary that we are so grateful to have.
