GPICA to mark 65th anniversary at April meeting
The Greater Pine Island Civic Association is inviting the public to help celebrate its 65th anniversary at the April meeting. Join the GPICA for cupcakes and community updates. Members and non-members are welcome to attend.
The meeting will take place at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 5, at the Greater Pine Island Elks Club, 5630 Pine Island Road, Bokeelia (just west of the four-way stop at the Center).
In addition to celebrating 65 years of working to protect and preserve the island’s coastal-rural lifestyle, the GPICA will provide updates on some of the issues it’s been working on: traffic, water quality and development.
The evening’s main speaker will be Lee County Commissioner Kevin Ruane. Members of the GPICA board recently met with Ruane to discuss the issues impacting the island community and the commissioner will be providing updates
